C'mon! All about the mic held up to the guitar for solos. Even better when held up to the bass guitar. Hilarious.

I was absolutely in TEARS during the grin/freeze of Danger! High Voltage in Glasgow because I wasn't expecting it AT ALL.

So good.

My drummer is the best though.

It was a tough call but I went for 'My Drummer' because I think he's done that one every time I've seen them! It's usually something different every time too.

I must admit, I never put 2 and 2 together with the whole holding the mic up the electric guitars thing! It'll be even funnier the next time I see it now.

My Drummer, because they are usually filled with local jokes (at least they are in Minneapolis) and I appreciate that effort.

I chose the grin-freeze, but only because his Synthesiser-wave wasn't an option. Laughing

Also in England. I seem to remember DV saying the following at a gig:

"Whilst we head off to Estonia, my drummer is going to stay behind and give you all free drum lessons at a music shop or recording studio in Sheffield" (DV said the actual shop name)

Dick Valentine once proclaimed that Larry King had just passed away then dedicated the following song to his memory.

He also once told the crowd that everyone on stage was over 40 and gay.

I like when he just makes up random shit the best especially about his drummer. Wink

When I saw them last year in Carrboro, NC, he told some bizarre story that years ago he had a job where he would drive around southern America, sneaking into a chain of steakhouses and examine the way the customers behaved. He then did an imitation of an elderly Georgian woman ordering "The Intimidator" for her husband who was in a bathroom at the time.

It was a surreal moment.

Also the opening bands both kept dedicating songs to the late Bruce Springsteen, who had died 5 minutes before their set began, apparently.
